Steve is the co-founder of Discover Arabia. He started Discover Arabia with the goal of improving education in Qatar and getting people to enjoy the natural world. His goal has always been allow students to see and experience the, “outdoors” in Qatar and develop curriculum that allows students especially Qatari students to have learning experiences based on Qatar’s environment and culture.
Kayaking in Qatar since 2006 Steve was paddling near the Pearl at night, and working to discover the natural areas in Qatar. Kayaking is one of the best ways to reconnect with nature in Qatar. While paddling Steve dreamed of sharing these wonderful feelings of being on the water with people. Giving to others and making a positive difference in the world has always been a driving force in Steve’s life.

We had a great experience kayaking the mangroves. Only one fishing boat went by, it was so quiet, and a beautiful sunset. Nice easy paddle, and not too hot that time of the late afternoon/early evening. And the water is beautiful and warm if you want to cool off a little bit!
Discoverarabia provides a great product through great people. The tours are an opportunity to see a different side of Qatar—kayaking the Mangroves and snorkeling the reef are completely different than many of the other activities Qatar has to offer, and I rank them as two of my favorite outings in Qatar. The tour guides are experienced and knowledgeable, and they make outings with Discoverarabia great fun.
